This is my newest Infinity Orb made with Makin’s Clay and accented with Swellegant patinas to give it that faux rusty aged metal that I love so much!
I used copper for the main piece and the screws are brass.
I can really relate to this form since it is a twisted puzzle and there is more to it then meets the eye. Plus this one looks like it is screwed up!
It is very satisfying making this form it is based upon an origami paper technique.
As the strips are woven together and then folded into place you are either thrilled: if it comes out right OR your are spewing curse words and you have to start again!
A lesson in being Zen or at least trying to be Zen…….

Here is this month’s Infinity Orb.
I was inspired by Morocco. This orb is highlighted with extruded turquoise piping.
The bling on the orb is brought to you by Swarovski Crystals for extra fun and glam!
This orb is based upon a paper Triskele Globe from
Hattiphant you have to see all the beautiful things she has for sale on her Gumroad page!
The guild I belong to donate their time, love and creativity all the time to community events like this one. That is just one of the reasons I feel so grateful to be a member of this group.
Here is my little angel. I made her for a really great cause. She will be joined with many many more polymer clay ornaments that will adorn a decorated Christmas tree for the 26th . Annual Ronald McDonlad house Trees for Hope auction
I will make sure I take tons of pictures of all the ornaments that will decorate this tree!
If you would like to see how I made this little angel I have all the step by steps pictures and details on the
Makin’s Clay blog.
I also riffed on this idea and Made these cute little contemporary looking Christmas trees. You can look on my
Facebook page for the quick photos that show all my steps to make the trees as well. The trees like the angle can either be free standing or strung to hang on your tree.
